For those saying the sauce is bland, like others have said, just added more salt and pepper. Hopefully in the future I can make it again the right way, and I’m sure it will be a lot better. As others have suggested, I can easily see this sauce with mushrooms, asparagus, or broccoli and even as a white pizza sauce (perhaps then with additional roasted garlic).
